Why was this the Branch Chain Amino Acid of choice? Branch Chain Amino Acids have been used by athletes and those who lead an active lifestyle for years. It depends on your lifestyle and goals, we recommend consuming 5g 2-4 times daily. Add two black scoops (5g) to 100ml-150ml of water or juice in your Protein Works Master Blender. Then shake and consume.

Blue raspberry
It's rare that you find something tasty and that works but here we are. The blue raspberry is sooo good. Only gripe is that some powder has escaped where the bag isn't sealed. This meant when opening a lot of powder also fell out. Made everything smell nice to be fair!Superb BCAA Based Product
BCAA Extreme is a very high quality branched chain amino acid supplement from The Protein Works that uses a 4:1:1 ratio of leucine to isoleucine and valine which i feel is superior to some of the more basic 2:1:1 versions and allows for less of the product to be used to support a major increase in my workout energy and endurance levels when consumed pre or even intra workout. I feel that BCAA supplements like this work very well when consumed prior to a range of my fasted weight based workouts and cardio sessions to aid with the preservation of lean muscle mass whilst allowing for unwanted body fat stores to be burned off as the desired fuel source. This BCAA based supplement also works awesome when taken in combination with L-Glutamine post workout to contribute to a further improvement in muscle recovery which is noticeable through a major reduction in DOMS or Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness which is something that i normally always suffer from after a range of intense leg based workouts. This supplement is available in an awesome tasting Orange Burst Flavour that mixes well with water without foaming like some other lower quality BCAA based supplements which requires for this to easily be used on a regular daily basis to enhance the results of any lean mass gaining or intense fat loss based dieting phases.Great!
I bought this when it was on offer, so I managed to get a good deal. I chose the cherry limeade - like it mentions on other reviews it does taste similar to a cough medicine, but it is actually quite tasty. It makes a change from the usual apple, raspberry flavours!! I have noticed a difference in DOMS when using this, once I've finished this bag I'll buy another. Both may girlfriend and I are enjoying this!BCAA Extreme
Can definitely tell a difference in my workouts and in recovery afterwards! ‘Cherry Limeade’ tastes like a metallic cough mixture from my childhood but I’m sure mixed with a juice will be just fine. Overall really pleased with the product and will definitely be purchasing regularly.Great with anything
I have added the unflavoured one to smoothies and porridge and the watermelon one to water and both taste amazing, it really works too.
