TPW Sunday Morning Protein Waffles

TPW Sunday Morning Protein Waffles

A lot of great things come from the small country that is Belgium, Beer, Audrey Hepburn and Jean Claude Van Damme to name but a few. But the one that tops the list has to be Belgian Waffles, and this recipe is an absolute guilt-free treat at the weekend, delivering a tasty source of Protein with just 9g of Sugar, all thanks to Zero Syrups

INGREDIENTS

3 Egg Whites
½ tsp baking powder
¼ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY SIDE OPTIONS

Fresh Fruit

METHOD:

Heat your waffle iron until the green light is on, then we’re ready to go.
Grab a mixing bowl, chuck all the ingredients together and stir with a wooden spoon until the mix is smooth, like a pancakes mix. Don’t use a whisk as this will create air pockets which aren’t great for waffles.
Decant your mix, into a measuring jug, this will make it easier to pour onto the waffle iron
Spray your waffle iron with a low-calorie cooking spray,
Pour your mixture over the waffle iron, use the back of your wooden spoon to ensure it is nice and level.
Whilst your waffle iron is cooking, grab a small pan, high heat, grab your fruits and heat them through for 1-2 minutes, feeling cheeky? Add a little TPW Maple Syrup into the action and give this bad boy a cheeky Maple Glaze.
Once your waffle iron signals it’s ready, it’s game time. Grab your fruits, your waffles, and start stacking, slowly pour the fruits over the top. For the instagrammers, grab your Zero Calorie Syrup, and slowly pour for the ultimate Tasty Slo Mo.
