How to use/take Spirulina?
Spirulina for some has an unusual taste but it's absolutely worth taking for the insane nutritional health benefits. You may start to feel revitalized from day 1, and wish you had started taking it earlier in your fitness career. We recommend that you add 10g of Spirulina (2x 5g Black Scoop) to either water of fruit juice depending on your pallet. Many of TPW™ fans also add this to their TPW™ BCAA and smoothie blends for that all-important health kick.
When to take Spirulina Powder?
It depends how you intend on using Spirulina Powder, some use it as a superfood drink, whereas others use it as a protein shake. For those consuming Spirulina as a super nutritious smoothie then ideally it should be taken in the morning, allowing your body to digest and absorb everything ready to administer the nutrients to your body, ensuring that you feel revitalised and full of energy for the duration of the day. However, those using it solely as a source of Vegan Protein source should consume Spirulina Powder 30 minutes of finishing your training session, allowing your bloodstream to fill with Amino Acids and Protein to replenish and repair muscle tissue.
How Much Spirulina Powder should you take?
The answer comes down to how often you take part in physical exercise? The more you workout, the more nutrients you use, so the more you need to replenish, makes sense? Right? Some prefer to gradually take Spirulina Powder consuming just 1 scoop (5g) to start off with, to help your body adapt to the insane nutrient dense contents. Once you start feeling the difference you can then up the ante to feel its full force with 2 scoops (10g), although it really does depend on how many nutrients your body needs, and how much exercise you take part in.

Definitely the best value I've found, as always with The Protein Works.
I do feel less lethargic on a daily basis but for the first 4 days of use I had regular periods of a strong sick feeling on and off all day. I can only attribute it to this and someone I know shared the same experience.
Once that's passed though, no problems at all.
Just be prepared for the fact it makes whatever you mix it with taste a bit like pond water. Nowhere near as bad as you'd expect for the colour it is, and certainly worth it for the health benefits. But yet to find a drink that masks the taste...
